French Polynesia is made up of 115 islands which sprawl over a sea as big as Western Europe, belong to five distinct archipelagos. Each has its own culture and landscape, from the volcanic peaks of the Society Islands to the flat, Crusoe-like Tuamotus.

The three archipelagos most sought by visitors are the Society Islands, comprised of Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora, Huahine, Raiatea and Taha'a; The Tuamotu Atolls or "Tahiti's Strand of Pearls", include the atolls of Rangiroa, Manihi, Tikehau, and Fakarava; and the Marquesas, or "The Mysterious Islands."

French Polynesia is just spectacularly stunning with the whitest of beaches and beautiful volcanic islands and it is home to some absolutely luxurious resorts, however it is pricey so we would only recommend visiting these islands if you have the budget to not only book it in the first place but also be able to spend money when you are there as prices in the resorts are quite steep.
