Our Fiji Favourites

Itinerary Information

Barefoot luxury are the two words that best describe what money can buy on a Fijian island. We have selected our favourite resorts that match the dream.

MatamanoaMatamanoa

Another popular resort for honeymooners, more affordable than many of the islands with the 20 individual bures lined up on one of the most gorgeous of white sand beaches in the Mamanucas - easy to reach from the main island. There’s a freshwater pool, tennis and no children under 12.

Price 7 nights from £934pp in a beachfront bure including breakfast and return launch from Port Denerau, supplement for return helicopter transfers from £127pp. Reduction on Fiji Classic from £244pp.

Outrigger On The LagoonOutrigger On The Lagoon

On the Coral Coast, 2hr 30mins drive south of airport (so no plane hops needed). The resort, which sits on 40 acres of lush gardens, also has a number of two bedroom thatched bures, making it an ideal choice for families, its range of activities (diving, golf training, paddle boards, kayaks etc) also offering plenty of distractions for all ages.

Price 5 nights from £467pp in a Deluxe Oceanview Room, room only. Reduction on Fiji Classic from £129pp.

Royal DavuiRoyal Davui

This island resort has just 16 vale, the Fijian word for home, each with a private sundeck and plunge pool. Guests can enjoy spa therapies, champagne breakfasts on a deserted sandbar and dinner by candlelight. Honeymooners will find it particularly seductive.

Fiji Beach Resort & SpaFiji Beach Resort & Spa

Managed by Hilton, this property features studios and suites rather than regular rooms, which means generous space and there’s the option to self cater too. It has a lovely pool and a light and airy feel. Located on the main island, a short drive from the airport, its easy access makes the resort an ideal first or last stop if you’re visiting other islands, or going on a cruise.

Price 5 nights low season (May, 21 Aug – 25 Sep, 26 Oct- 23 Dec, 16 Jan - 31 Mar) from £357pp and high season (rest of year) from £460pp (supp 1-25 Jul of £108pp), including breakfast, in a Beachfront Studio including return transfers. Reduction on Fiji Classic itinerary from £237pp low season and from £135pp high season.

Jean Michel CousteauJean Michel Cousteau

With such a world famous family name, it’s hardly a surprise that the eco-friendly resort on the island of Vanua Levu offers great diving. But with its emphasis on nature – including guided rainforest walks with a naturalist as well as a resident marine biologist - it really works well for families. The 17 acre resort has 25 bures, each with a private deck.

Price 7 nights low season (18 Apr -18 Jun, 1-17 Sep, 10 Oct-17 Dec, 11 Jan-31 Mar) from £1461pp and high season (rest of year) from £1986pp in a garden bure including all meals and return flights from Nadi to Savusavu. Supplement on Fiji Classic from £261pp low season and from £786pp high season.

Matangi Island ResortMatangi Island Resort

The ultimate hideaway, Mantagi has a rustic feel, with its very traditional style of bungalows, and often attracts high end celebrities despite its lack of fancy polish. This authentic resort also offers lovely beaches, great snorkelling and diving, a new pool, a romantic sunset bar and the option of staying in one of three treehouses built on stilts.

Price 7 nights low season (Jan - May) from £1506pp and high season (rest of year) from £1752pp in an oceanview bure, including all meals, return flights from Nadi to Taveuni and road and launch transfers. Upgrade to a treehouse from £692pp. Supplement on Fiji Classic from £306pp low season and from £552pp high season.

Yasawa Island ResortYasawa Island Resort

Fijians have 15 words for heaven . . . and one of them is Yasawa. Situated in the most unspoilt reaches of the archipelago, a 30 min flight from the main island, the resort has 16 one and two bedroom bures, tucked among the palms, offering solitude and luxury. Each has a thatched beach hut and a hammock. The Yasawa beaches are out of this world, and there’s a tempting spa too.

Price 7 nights low season (Nov and Feb – Mar) from £2158pp and high season (rest of year) from £2837pp in a Beachfront Bure Suite including all meals and return flight from Nadi. Supplement on Fiji Classic from £958pp low season and from £1637pp high season.
