Marlborough is New Zealand’s largest grape-growing region with 74 wineries producing internationally acclaimed wines. Renowned for its sauvignon blanc, it also has a growing reputation for rieslings, gewürztraminers, pinot gris, chardonnays and award winning pinot noirs. The town is a gateway to the Marlborough Sounds which encompass 1500 kilometres of coastal bays and beaches backed by native bush. This maritime playground offers some of the world’s best boating and diving, fishing, eco-tours and scenic native bush walks (including the famous Queen Charlotte Track) in the country, all of which can be experienced as a day tour or longer overnight excursion from Blenheim or Picton.
