Orion Expedition Cruises offers all the hallmarks of a 5-star luxury cruise experience. The ship, MV Orion, is small and accommodates around just 50 couples with a crew of 75. However, it combines the best and the latest in design with maritime and environmental technology, comfort and casual elegance.
The passion of Orion’s crew lies in delivering enriching and authentic experiences in otherwise inaccessible regions. You’ll have the opportunity to take shore-side expeditions guided by recognised experts to areas that few others have ever had the privilege to explore. They strongly believe in community partnership, in protecting natural resources and local cultural heritage, both for the benefit of future Orion guests and even more importantly, for the benefit of the local communities.
Dining
Dining is an unhurried, casual experience with a single sitting and no fixed table assignments. During the day, admire the scenery and tuck into a buffet breakfast or lunch at Orion’s Outdoor Café. Dinner is served in the Constellation Restaurant, or if the mood takes you, dine al fresco under the stars.
Cabins
Accommodation onboard Orion comprises 31 Suites and 22 Staterooms. Every room offers ocean views, well appointed en-suite marble bathrooms, room to relax during the day and a choice of either queen or twin bed sleeping arrangements. However, the Balcony and Owner’s Suites are generally a bit larger and also have sliding doors leading out onto a French Balcony. Conveniences in all the rooms include ample storage space, complementary 24-hour room service, a flat screen TV, DVD/CD player, internet connectivity, a personal safe, hairdryer and a mini-refrigerator. Other on board amenities include a health spa with gymnasium, sauna, sun deck Jacuzzi and a stern marina platform.
Orion’s Expedition Team will lead your exploration of secluded beaches and river inlets – waters famous for an abundance of wildlife. From spectacular waterfalls and awe inspiring gorges, to ancient cultural history and indigenous rock art, the only way you can access the best of the Kimberley is from the sea onboard Orion. The expedition includes a flight over the famous Bungle Bungle ranges. This voyage also operates in reverse.
