You will Board the world-renowned Rocky Mountaineer train at the Rocky Mountaineer Vancouver Station and pass through the fertile fields of the Fraser Valley and view the towering peaks of the Coast Mountains before entering the Fraser Canyon. You’ll see the thundering waters of Hell’s Gate and follow the Thompson River to historic Kamloops, gateway to the interior of British Columbia. Stay overnight in moderate accommodations in Kamloops.

Continue east through the vast ranchlands along the South Thompson River, pass Craigellachie, where the Last Spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven, and enter Rogers Pass, with its tunnels, snowsheds and glistening glaciers. This Rocky Mountain rail tour then climbs through the Spiral Tunnels and over the Continental Divide to Banff National Park. End your rail journey in Banff or continue on to the “Stampede City” of Calgary the same evening.

Your excursion begins at the Rocky Mountaineer Vancouver Station when you board the train. Continue through the rich agricultural lands of the Fraser Valley and have your breath taken away by the magnificent Coast Mountains before entering the Fraser Canyon. Along the way you will see the powerful waters of Hell’s Gate and follow the path pf the Thompson River to Kamloops, gateway to the Interior of British Columbia. Your Canadian train trip pauses with an overnight in moderate accommodations in Kamloops.

Rejoin the Rocky Mountaineer and follow the Canada railway and the Thompson River through rolling hills into the snowy peaks of the Monashee Mountains. View Pyramid Falls and the expansive glaciers of the Albreda Icefields before passing by Mount Robson, which at 12,972 feet is the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. In late afternoon, arrive in Jasper, located in the largest national park in The Canadian Rockies.

Jasper to Whistler or vv.

Travel from the mountain resort of Jasper in the Canadian Rockies to the charming rural town of Quesnel, gateway to the North Caribou. Pass through the Rocky Mountain Trench, with the steep Rocky and Cariboo mountains either side, and on to the rolling hills and vast forests of British Columbia’s northern interior. Highlights include Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, Yellowhead Pass and Moose Lake. Your day concludes as the Rocky Mountaineer passes through the town of Prince George and follows the Fraser River into Quesnel. Overnight in Quesnel.

Your journey continues south today to the four-season resort of Whistler. Enjoy breathtaking and varied scenery, from the desert-like conditions of the Fraser Canyon to the rolling hills and vast ranchlands of the Caribou Plateau to the river canyons and lush farmland of the Pemberton Valley. Highlights include sweeping views of the Fraser Canyon, the crossing of Deep Creek Bridge, one of the highest railway bridges in the world, and the shorelines of Anderson Lake and glacial-fed Seton Lake. Your rail journey ends today on arrival in the resort town of Whistler.

RedLeaf service offers seating in a classic rail car with large picture windows as well as complimentary breakfast, lunch, snacks and (non-alcoholic) drinks served at your assigned seat.

In SilverLeaf Service enjoy panoramic views through oversized windows in a single-level dome coach which has a larger viewing area than RedLeaf Service, a hot breakfast and lunch served at your seat (choice of entrées) and all non-alcoholic beverages are complimentary.

Passengers who upgrade to GoldLeaf Service are accommodated in reclining seats in the Dome Coach, with panoramic views through full-length windows and access to a viewing platform. Meals are served in a lower level dining room and include a full range of beverages.

 

 

 

All services include return transfers and overnight accommodation in either Kamloops or Quesnel.
