The Cariboo Chilcotin Coast is bordered by the Cariboo and Columbia Mountains to the east and the fjords of the coast to the west. There are more than 8,000 lakes, over 17,000 kilometres of rivers and streams and 15,000 kilometres of Pacific shoreline in the region.
The mountains are BC’s Wild West and are home to some of Canada’s largest ranches and resorts which offer everything from horse riding and hiking to award winning spas and gourmet food. Each summer the Williams Lake Stampede, complete with bull riding, steer wrestling, saddle bronco riding and barrel racing, is one of the area’s highlights.
