BRIDGE & WICKERS

Over the years I travelled in many parts of the globe, including northern India, Thailand, Hong Kong, Bali, USA, Canada, Malaysia, Indonesia, Burma (as was then) China, Fiji and Sydney. After spending 4 months in this wonderful city, I travelled overland to Melbourne and along the Great Ocean Road to Adelaide, then north to Uluru and Alice Springs, across to Cairns and back to Darwin. After further travels around South East Asia, I returned to Sydney for another four months before returning to the UK via Hawaii and mainland USA.

After studying Travel and Tourism - getting a HND to prove it! – I decided to pursue a career in the travel industry, which I knew would include plenty of first hand experience.

I’ve worked for several companies before joining Bridge & Wickers when the company was launched in December 04, including four years at Bridge the World. As I hoped, working in travel has given me the opportunity to travel ‘on business,’ with recent trips having included the South Sea islands (Tahiti, Moorea and Bora Bora), New Zealand and Australia, with visits to Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, Hamilton and Hayman as well as a cruise of the Kimberley coast on the luxury expedition ship Orion, Lizard and Orpheus Islands, the Daintree rainforest and Tasmania.

I also had a wonderful 2 week trip around British Columbia and the Rockies seeing Whales and Grizzly bears last year, living the high life in Vancouver and making the most of the friendly laid back Canadian manner. The wilderness forests and scenic rail journey from Jasper to Prince Rupert were something never to be forgotten as was the cruise through the famous inside passage was magical.

In October 2009 I was fortunate to also get to visit Vietnam and Cambodia for a whistle stop tour Hanoi the Mekong River, Saigon, Mai Chau, Halong Bay, Siem Reap, Hue and Hoi An were just a few of the many highlights far to numerous to mentions in these impressive and unique destinations.

Most recently, I visited Quebec and experienced the best of what this region of Canada has to offer and fell in love with it - it's my newest favourite place!
