9 Day Sydney, Blue Mountains and Jervis Bay self drive

Itinerary Information

All Bridge & Wickers holidays are tailor-made and no two are the same. We have made some accommodation suggestions, however we will tailor your quote to your preferred standard and style of accommodation.

A perfect combination of Australia’s most spectacular harbour city, the stunning scenery of the Blue Mountains and the magnificent beaches of southern New South Wales at Jervis Bay.

Days 1 to 4 SYDNEY

Amora JamisonYou could spend an entire holiday in Sydney but with just four days you’ll have sufficient time to enjoy its top attractions, including the Opera House, Harbour Bridge (maybe enjoying an exciting Bridge climb), ferry trips to Manly or Darling Harbour, the historic Rocks, gorgeous walks, harbour sails, Bondi beach and seaplane hops. Among the best days out is a trip to Kuringai Chase National Park and the Hawkesbury river. Our consultants can book a number of these. Your nights will be spent at Amora Jamison Hotel.

Days 5 and 6 BLUE MOUNTAINS

BlueB MoutainsPick up your car and drive to Blue Mountains, a two million acre spread of canyons, gorges, rainforest and waterfalls. The World Heritage Site and National Park, the size of Holland, is also famous for its eucalyptus trees, some 91 different species whose resin, vaporised through the leaves  and mixed with fine particles of dust, accounts for the area’s distinctive blue haze. Spend 2 nights in one of the four cottages at the Old Leura Dairy, a pretty township that has become home to a number of artists - hence the several galleries on the main street. During your free day we can arrange 4WD or guided walking trips with local operator.

If you are feeling adventurous consider an overnight camp with Blue Mountains Private Safaris.Your guide, who knows the mountains like the back of his hand, will design an itinerary to suit your requirements, whether they be walking, wildlife watching or fishing, sleeping in camp on a mattress in a traditional Aussie swag.

Days 7 to 9 JERVIS BAY

Jervis BayEnjoy some of Australia’s whitest, least developed and generally magnificent beaches. It is an idyllic place to enjoy both the natural setting and an array of activities such as bush walking, dolphin and whale watching, cycling, swimming and snorkelling. Spend 3 nights in one of the en-suite tents at Paperbark Camp, set in the heart of the forest yet minutes from the sea. Immersed in nature, with a dawn chorus as wild as Amazonia’s, Paperbark Camp has all creature comforts, including a good restaurant. You might also want to spend a day exploring the pretty Kangaroo Valley.
