Longitude 131°, Ayers Rock

Description

The award-winning Longitude 131° is set atop an isolated sand dune close to the border of the Uluru - Kata Tjuta National Park. Luxurious, eco-sensitive and romantic, the camp offers immersion in the wilderness of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, complete with five star luxury and views of the sun rising and setting over Uluru.

Each of the fifteen Luxury Tents has a white dome roof and flowing fabric draped from the centre to create the illusion of camping. Meticulously designed to remain cool in summer and warm in winter, each tent features air-conditioning and private bathroom.

Dine out under the spectacular desert night sky at Table 131°. A three-course dinner is served with the finest wines under a glittering canopy of stars. This is, without doubt, the perfect way to wind down after an amazing day of discovery. The Dune House serves four-course gourmet dinners with chosen wines sitting either with your fellow guests or separately.

Testimonial

Longitude 131 WOW!  The most amazing place.  The room, facilities, staff, food, drink, activities and tours were all fabulous.  Two nights did not do it justice.  Would definitely want to plan for 3-4 nights (or longer).

Longitude 131 - really enjoyed these two action packed days with all the tours organised, meeting new people and the food and wine was excellent.  Not sure why they call them tents though.

We were bowled over by Uluru which has the greatest wow factor of anything that we saw in Australia.  Anyone going to visit Australia who chooses not to visit Uluru is clearly out of his mind; it is just a fantastic, magical and mystical place and we loved it!  Longitude 131 was the perfect accompaniment to Uluru and we could not praise it highly enough; indeed, it was just as you said it would be.  We had great company there and enjoyed a great Christmas with fantastic food and drink, the latter all included in the hotel price!  Just help yourself was the order not only of the day, but of every day!  We were in Room (tent?) 14, just one from the end on the right hand side as you looked towards the rock, and it had the most perfect location with fabulous views of the rock.  We had been told to expect temperatures in the 40’s and bugs as big as dogs, but it was not like that at all; the temperatures were in the mid to high 20’s and we did not see a bug for all the time that we were there. We hated having to leave at the end of our stay.
