The average flying time to Bangkok is just over 11 hours and this is generally the first point of entry for all flight arrivals direct from the UK. These days there is a huge choice of carriers and at Bridge & Wickers, we work with the best of the scheduled airlines to Thailand. The only scheduled airlines offering non-stop flights from London to Bangkok are Thai, BA, Qantas and EVA Air. However, there are a number of other equally good carriers that go via hubs (home airport) en-route to Thailand – these may sometimes be more convenient as you can fly from the hub directly in to other gateways apart from Bangkok, such as Phuket or Chiang Mai. The ideal way to fly of course is in one of the premium cabins, but developments in economy class products now mean that seat back TV’s and comfy seats are standard on all our preferred carriers. Peak fares, as you’d expect, kick in around the Christmas holidays but on the whole fares to Thailand offer extremely good value for money.

Fly to: Bangkok
Australia’s national carrier operates a daily service from Heathrow to Bangkok. Flat beds are available in business and first class and Qantas also offer a premium economy service. Regional connections are also available with BA via London or Frankfurt.
Fly to: Bangkok
British Airways operates a daily flight to Bangkok from Heathrow. Onboard their long-haul service you have the choice of economy (World Traveller), premium economy (World Traveller Plus), business class and first class (both with flat beds).

Stopover options from the UK: Non-stop to Bangkok
Thailand’s national carrier operates twice daily flights from Heathrow to Bangkok and a huge number of flights from there to a huge network of domestic and regional services. If you’re looking to combine a stopover in the exciting city of Bangkok with your beach holiday in Thailand, then they are an excellent choice. Long-haul services offer a choice of economy, business and first class cabins with some aircraft fitted with flat beds in premium.
Gateway cities: From Singapore to Bangkok, Koh Samui, Phuket, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and other regional airports throughout Thailand.
Stopover options from the UK: Singapore
Singapore Airlines were the first carrier to operate the A380 and are regular winners of the Airline of the Year awards plus their hub, Changi Airport, has won best airport in the world for a number of years. They fly 3 times daily from Heathrow non-stop to Singapore and also operate direct services from Manchester 5 times per week. An excellent carrier offering economy, flat bed business class and first class suites.

Emirates fly via their hub,
Dubai. As well as Heathrow & Gatwick, they also operate direct services from a number of regional airports -
Birmingham,
Newcastle,
Glasgow &
Manchester which is great for avoiding
London and another change of aircraft. They also fly the new A380 -from
Dubai to Heathrow and back. An impressive in-flight entertainment system and excellent service and comfort make Emirates a very popular choice for our clients.

Etihad is the national airline of the UAE and were voted World’s Leading Airline at the 2009 World Travel Awards. They operate 28 flights per week from Heathrow and
Manchester to
Abu Dhabi. Clients are guests, not passengers and they offer a choice of economy, flat bed business class and first class suites. As
Abu Dhabi is only 45 mins from
Dubai, they offer a free transfer to
Dubai for any guests wishing to have a stopover here.

Malaysia Airlines offer exceptional value and comfort when to
Thailand. They also offer an excellent range of stopovers and are the only airline flying directly from Heathrow to KL daily. Their international services have economy, business class and first class cabins.
EVA Air
Fly to: Bangkok. Phuket, Chiang Mai & Koh Samui (with Bangkok Airways)
Stopover options: Non-stop to Bangkok
This Taiwanese-based airline operates a daily, non-stop service from Heathrow to
Bangkok. Their offer economy, premium economy, and business cabins onboard. Their business class has angled lie-flat seats and all cabins offer excellent value for money.

Cathay Pacific operates four flights daily from Heathrow to Hong Kong with connections through to a large number of cities in
Asia. They are currently refitting their long-haul aircraft with new cabins for their economy, business class and first class offering more comfort, personal space and individual privacy in the air.
