Day 1: Kota Kinabalu

On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Spend the next 3 nights at the Shangri La Tanjung Aru hotel.

Day 2: Kota Kinabalu

After breakfast you’ll join an introductory tour of Kota Kinabalu, the State Capital of Sabah. You’ll see the Sabah Foundation Building - one of the hanging structures in the world, stopover at the Buddhist Temple, visit the Sabah State Museum which displays artifacts from Sabah’s past and diverse cultures prevalent in North Borneo. Pass by the State Mosque – this resplendent structure, with its majestic domes and gold motifs, is a spectacular sight, finally drive to Tanjung Aru to see the imposing sights of the long sandy beach. The rest of the day is yours to relax and enjoy the facilites of the resort.

Day 3: Full Day Mt. Kinabalu & Poring Rainforest

The jagged granite peaks of Mt. Kinabalu (4095m) towers above one of the most biologically diverse areas in the world. Nominated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, Kinabalu Park is a natural wonder that offers day visitors a glimpse into the fascinating and often unique world plant and animal life within the park. The montage oak and chestnut forest at park headquarters gives way to lowland dipterocarp forest at Poring on the eastern boundary. Enjoy a short trek through the rainforest and witness life in the treetops as you walk along the 100ft high Canopy Walkway (if closed, it will be replaced with a visit to the Tropical Garden).

Day 4: Onward flight or extend your stay

Today is free until your departure transfer to the airport, or you can extend your stay at the Tanjung Aru Resort from £53 per person per night (room only).
