Day 1 - Lahad Datu - Danum Valley

After an early breakfast at your hotel (not included), depart at 05.30am for the Kota Kinabalu airport for flight for your 7am flight to Lahad Datu. Upon arrival at Lahad Datu you’ll journey for 3 hours to the Borneo Rainforest Lodge in the heart of Danum Valley Conservation Area. Along the way, wildlife may be spotted. After lunch at the lodge trek in the oldest remaining rainforest in the world and experience an exciting suspension walkway. After dinner, if weather permitting, take a night drive in search of wildlife.

Spend the next 2 nights at Borneo Rainforest Lodge (please be aware – accommodation is basic)

Day 2 - Rainforest and Wildlife Trek

After breakfast, proceed to nature walk through undisturbed riverine and lowland dipterocarp forests. A good chance to photograph wildlife in this pristine jungle vegetation and unlimited bird watching of rainforest species. After lunch enjoy an extended hike to look for orang utan, birds and other wildlife along nature trails. After dinner enjoy viewing slide presentation on wildlife, ecology and activities in Danum Valley Conservation Area.

Day 3 - Danum Valley - Lahad Datu

This morning enjoy a short walk for bird watching before breakfast. After breakfast, enjoy a brief visit to the waterfalls, pools, hike upstream and canopy walkway. After lunch proceed to the Lahad Datu Airport for flight MH 2097 (ETD 1735) to Kota Kinabalu. On arrival you’ll be transferred back to your hotel.
