The small capital city Vientiane, is charming with French style buildings and wide boulevards whilst Luang Prabang is nestled in the valleys of the mountainous north.

Day 1: Vientiane

VIP visas can be pre-arranged for a smooth arrival into Vientiane. You will be greeted at the airport and transferred to the colonial Settha Palace Hotel in an old style London cab. Take a walk along the river as the sun sets and dine in a fabulous French restaurant in the ‘Fountain Circle’, the heart of Vientiane town.(D)

Day 2: Vientiane – Luang Prabang

This morning, enjoy a tour of the main temples and monuments in this quiet capital before your flight to Luang Prabang. Make your way to to the deluxe La Residence Phou Vao, with its infinity pool overlooking Phou Sii Hill. Alternatively you may wish to stay at another of our hotels in Luang Prabang. You may wish to spend the day being pampered in the hotel’s luxurious spa before browsing through the town’s night market. (B)

Day 3: Luang Prabang

If you wish, you are welcome to participate in the morning rite of almsgiving to the several hundred monks that reside in the city. Later in the day, visit a few select temples and the Royal Palace before retreating from the heat for a delightful lunch of local specialties. (B,L)

Day 4: Luang Prabang

Cool off in the crystal clear pools of a beautiful local waterfall (seasonal and weather permitting) and enjoy a fully catered picnic lunch. In the evening take in a Royal Baci Ceremony dance and dinner in a UNESCO preserved heritage building. (B, L)

Day 5: Depart Luang Prabang

Your guide will accompany you to the airport for your onward travel. (B)
