Amanpuri is a chic luxury resort nestled amongst coconut palms leading to a crescent shaped beach overlooking Andaman Sea. Designed to reflect Thailand’s graceful architectural style in harmony with the idyllic natural setting, the resort is imbued with a sense of timeless elegance. Private villas grace the peninsula affording guests spectacular views, while other facilities include a Beach Club and lap pool, hillside gym and spa and a number of restaurants situated in picturesque locations around the resort.

Accommodation consists of forty Thai-style Pavilions and thirty Villas set within a mature coconut plantation and connected by elevated walkways. All Pavilions feature an outdoor sala with a sun deck and dining terrace, king size bed, oversized bathroom and a spacious dressing area. The Pavilions are set along the resort’s internal passageways, while Garden Pavilions are interspersed throughout the resort’s mature coconut palms. Partial Ocean Pavilions are set further back from the shore offering partial ocean views. Ocean Pavilions have sea views, with Pavilions 103 and 105 enjoying premium views of the Andaman Sea. Villas, many with oceanfront settings, consist of two to six separate bedrooms finished with Thai furnishings, art and antiques. Villas enjoy private pools plus living and dining salas. Personal housekeepers and cooks are also on hand.

The Terrace Restaurant offers casual all-day dining in an alfresco setting and features Thai and European specialties. The Restaurant serves Italian cuisine and is open for dinner year round and lunch during high season. Both are adjacent to the swimming pool. Set just behind the beach and open during the high season, Naoki serves chef Naoki Okumura’s original French kaiseki fare, which combines the best of French technique with Japanese artistry. From late November to April, weather and tide permitting, evening torch-lit barbecues are held on the beach.

The Aman Spa offers six spacious Thai-style pavilions featuring an open, light-filled space of wood and glass with private steam room, shower, bath, dressing area and an outdoor meditation sala. The spa menu includes a range of healing therapies as well as traditional treatments. The spa therapists can also tailor a treatment programme based on an assessment of a guest’s individual needs. Complimentary guided yoga and meditation sessions are offered at daybreak in the open-sided salas set high on the hillside.
