Our holidays to Zambia – a country regarded by many as the continent's greatest secret – range from the world renowned National Parks of the Luangwa and Zambezi valleys to the mighty Victoria Falls. The fact that the country has, for so long, been largely overlooked as a tourist destination; is actually one of its greatest assets and a safari in Zambia with Bridge & Wickers will offer you views of the African bush that have not changed for centuries. Regions
Victoria Falls / Livingstone
Livingstone is the Zambian gateway to the Victoria Falls, just 10km away, and the incredible array of activities available there. From white water rafting for the more adventurous to helicopter flights over the Falls for a magnificent aerial view of one of the seven Natural Wonders of the World, there is something on offer for everyone. It also makes an excellent start or end to your safari in Zambia or Botswana.
Lower Zambezi
The Lower Zambezi is a key national park of Zambia and lies between the dramatic Zambezi escarpment and the spectacular Zambezi River. The region is a haven for wildlife, including elephant, hippo, buffalo, zebra, lion, leopard and various antelope species amongst many others. The river is a massive attraction of the area and perhaps the most exciting aspect of game viewing in this unique reserve is the range of experiences to choose from – both on land and on the river.
South Luangwa
The meandering Luangwa River and ox-bow lagoons which run through the South Luangwa National Park, support one of the most intense concentrations of game in Africa. It’s no surprise, therefore, that it is also considered Zambia’s premier wildlife sanctuary. The South Luangwa is perhaps most well known for walking safaris, where the bush comes alive in a way that you just can't appreciate from a vehicle.
Kafue
If you are seeking a truly wild, remote safari, consider Kafue National Park, the largest game reserve in Zambia.
