Masai Mara
The Masai Mara, renowned for its abundant and varied resident wildlife, its big cats and the dramatic annual Great Migration of over a million wildebeest, is Kenya’s most famous game-viewing area. An area of gently undulating hills, woodland and grassland dotted with acacia trees, the Mara’s 1500 sq. km encompass the national reserve, itself comprising the Mara Reserve and the Mara Triangle.
These conservation areas are vital wildlife dispersal areas and rich in game – with fewer visitors and fewer rules.
Amboseli
Amboseli National Park is rich in wildlife, especially elephants. In addition to the quality of safari, Amboseli is worth visiting for its stunning setting, set against the backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro. Further east, the Chyulu Hills offer diverse game, varied landscapes, the greatest choice of ways to view game in Africa and ground-breaking conservation initiatives.

Kenyan Coast
The Kenyan coast features 480km of palm-fringed sandy beaches, coral reefs and a wide range of accommodation from lively resorts to luxurious beach lodges. The Swahili culture along this coastline, developed over hundreds of long history of trade along this coastline is preserved both in the old towns of Mombasa and Malindi and at the World Heritage Site at Lamu.
Samburu
Samburu is an arid wilderness which offers a stark contrast to the savannah of the Mara, the wildlife here has adapted to the harsh landscapes. Most lodges here stand on the banks of the Ewaso River where most of the wildlife congregates to drink and take advantage of the shade afforded by huge tamarind trees.
Rift Valley Lakes & Lake Victoria
Relax before or after your safari in Kenya with a stay at one of Kenya’s lakeside lodges. Choose between the vast flocks of flamingos and warm hospitality of colonial homesteads by the Rift Valley Lakes or the remote, tranquillity and exceptional fishing of Lake Victoria or do both, either side of a safari.
Nairobi
Kenya’s capital is a cosmopolitan city and its Jomo Kenyatta International Airport is the hub of East Africa. In the smart watering holes south of the city centre, elegant locals, ex-pats and tourists returning from safari commingle to enjoy a Tusker beer or a G&T and a good meal in the cool of the evening. Nairobi offers a choice of good hotels for different tastes and purposes, and a variety of worthwhile sights and activities.
